Meet Pastor Steve

Pastor Steve Deedrick encountered the voice of God for the first time at seventeen. It was not loud. It was not dramatic. It was a quiet pull that awakened something deep in him. A hunger for Jesus. A longing to see people meet the God who knows them, heals them, and calls them into real life. That moment marked him forever and set him on a path of simple obedience and growing love.

Over the years, that early spark became a steady flame. Through seasons of breakthrough and seasons of waiting, Steve learned that following Jesus is not about striving. It is about learning to live from His presence. He watched God heal hearts, restore marriages, and draw people home. He also walked through moments that stretched him, refining his faith and deepening his dependence on the Holy Spirit. Each year the call grew stronger, not louder. More tender. More certain.

Steve leads as a shepherd who has been shaped by the kindness of God. His heart is for the presence of the Holy Spirit and for every person to know that they are fully seen and deeply loved. He carries faith for the impossible and compassion for the broken. He believes God is writing a story of renewal in Rochester and that no one is ever beyond His reach.

Our Mission

Demonstrating God’s Love

Partnering with the Holy Spirit

Living Like Jesus

Our DNA

DNA contains the instructions necessary for life. The code within the DNA of Radiant Love Church provides direction on how to make disciples that are vital for our growth, development, and overall health as a body.

Revelation

God speaks through His Word and His Spirit. We hunger for truth and expect God to reveal His heart to His people.

Royalty

Our identity and inheritance are secure because of God’s generosity. We live as loved children, not spiritual orphans.

Restoration

God heals what is broken. We pursue freedom from strongholds and inner healing from past pain and trauma.

RECEIVE

By faith we receive from God and respond with simple obedience. We expect Him to move and we follow His lead.

REMAIN

We stay connected to our Father by abiding in Jesus through the Holy Spirit. This is our source of life.

REMEMBER

We choose gratitude and joy because of all God is and all He has done to rescue us.

REVIVAL

We are passionate about the expansion of God’s kingdom in our lives, in Rochester, and across the world. We long for a move of God marked by His presence and power.

What We Believe

Radiant Love Church is a Spirit-filled Christian community rooted in the authority of Scripture and the historic teachings of the church. Our beliefs shape everything we do, from how we worship to how we live and love.

  • We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God. It is our final authority for faith, life, and conduct. God speaks through Scripture, revealing His character, His promises, and His plan for redemption.

  • We believe in the one true God who has made Himself known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are distinct in person yet perfectly one in essence, nature, and purpose.

  • We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven. He lives inside of us through His Spirit. He will return again for His church.

  • We believe all people are created in the image of God yet separated from Him because of sin. On our own we cannot earn righteousness or repair our brokenness, but God offers salvation freely through Jesus.

  • We believe salvation comes by grace through repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Through this new birth, our sins are forgiven and our spirits are made alive. Every believer is an adopted child of God.

  • We believe baptism by immersion is an outward expression of an inward rebirth. It symbolizes our union with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers for life, holiness, and ministry. We embrace the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience that strengthens our walk with God and equips us with spiritual gifts.

  • We believe the gifts of the Spirit are active and needed today. These gifts are given for the strengthening of the church and the advancement of God’s kingdom.

  • We believe Jesus provided healing through His work on the cross. God still brings healing to body, mind, and spirit, and the church is called to pray with faith.

  • We believe in the Lord’s Table as a sacred moment where believers remember the sacrifice of Jesus and experience His presence in a unique way.

  • We believe the church is the family of God made up of all who follow Jesus. Local congregations gather for worship, prayer, teaching, and community. We exist to make disciples and bring the love of Jesus to the world.

  • We believe in the reality of the devil and the forces of darkness. Through Jesus, believers have authority to stand firm in faith and victory.

  • We believe eternal life starts at salvation and continues through physical death and into eternity with God in the New Heaven and New Earth. We are living in eternal life today and fear no evil because God is with us.

Have Questions?

We’d love to answer them.

  • We believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Bible is our foundation, and the Holy Spirit is active and moving today. Our desire is to bring heaven to earth by living in God’s love together and seeking to grow to be more like Jesus.

  • We currently meet at the Destiny Church building while we pray for opportunities to find a permanent church home. Gathering in the evenings has been a blessing during this season and has allowed us to make room for unhurried worship and ministry time. A 6:00PM service gives people space to come ready to encounter God without the rush of waking up and getting ready for a typical Sunday morning.

  • Warm community, heartfelt worship, and teaching that calls people into truth and transformation.

  • Children are welcome in the service and invited to worship with us. We also offer age-appropriate environments where kids can encounter God, learn Scripture, and discover their identity in Jesus.

  • We seek to live the way Jesus taught us, carrying His love, hope, and power into everyday life. This looks like praying for the sick, encouraging one another, serving our city, and practicing the gifts of the Spirit with humility, faith, and love.

  • Wear whatever feels comfortable. You’ll see everything from jeans to business casual. We care more about seeking God together than what anyone wears.
